Bond Business Faces Allegations of Solicitation

Rancho Cucamonga, California — Bail Hotline Bail Bonds is accused of soliciting business, violating bail bond industry regulations in the state. Sheriff’s detectives and the Department of Insurance investigators served a search warrant on the bail bond business following an investigation. The company is accused of using inmates to solicit other inmates in prison and using agents to solicit inmates. Soliciting by bail bond companies is prohibited under Section 1800 of the Insurance Code and under Penal Code 160.
