The Oklahoma Association of Bail Enforcement Agents and the Oklahoma Bondsman Association both support the idea of pushing legislation that would require bail enforcement agents in Oklahoma to be licensed. David Dunn, an investigator and enforcement agent for Abraham’s Bail Bonds, says that anyone over the age of 18 “can hunt…They are not required to know anything about bail bond laws, which tells you why you’re able to do what you can do.”
Dudley Goolsby, president of the OBA, stresses the need to be patient and persistent with the legislative process to ensure that no unintended consequences of licensing occur.
