Bondsmen Accused of Harming Suspect

St. Louis, MO – Bondsmen Kevin Ritrovato, Sean Baker, and Shawn Boyer of F&N Bail Bonds are being accused of torturing a man they apprehended. The three are accused of wiping mace into the genitals and face of a felon who allegedly owed the bond company $225 after not appearing in court. Pastor-Bondsman Found Guilty

Fayetteville, NC – Bondsman and pastor Robert Lee McQueen has been found guilty of weapons and drugs offenses in federal court. The bondsman was arrested in 2008 and was charged with six counts. Before his arrest, he owned McQ Bail Bonds and worked as a pastor at Burning Bush Missionary Baptist Church. McQueen could face millions of dollars in penalties and life in prison. CENTRAL POINT, OR – Kent Gutches is seeking legal help against the Jackson County Circuit Court system, after the court system has refused to return $100,000 in bail money. GREENSBORO, NC – According to the N.C. Department of Insurance, several bondsmen have been arrested in recent weeks for allegedly breaking into area homes while trying to capture felons. At least two of the bondsmen have turned themselves into authorities. So far, seven bondsmen have been charged. Representatives from the N.C. Department of Insurance, quoted in the media, have noted that while bondsmen have the right to apprehend felons, they do have to follow the law during the process.
