TX Bounty Hunter Indicted on Felony Assault Charge

A Waco, Texas bounty hunter was recently found guilty on enhanced aggravated assault charges, a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison. Dale “Cowboy” Cobb was found guilty after an October 2006 incident where he assaulted James Callahan, who had missed his court date. According to Cobb, Callahan attacked his partner Ron Hill, which is when Callahan entered the melee. Callahan was left with several face fractures, and his injuries required extensive plastic surgery.
